My name is Chloé Ghys. I am currently working as an internal and external communications officer at EDF Group as part of a work-study program to complete my master’s degree in business engineering and project management. Prior to that, I earned a bachelor’s degree in sports science with a specialization in sports management. I have done a few student jobs, such as working at the Auchan drive-through, in a chip shop, in the food industry, at a day camp, and as a lifeguard.
Both my parents work in industry and I have a younger brother who is following in my footsteps and studying for a DEUST degree in sports science, specializing in swimming.
I enjoy going out with my friends and family, traveling, discovering new things, and playing sports.
I know a lot about swimming, having done it for 20 years, and I have also coached swimmers.
Personally, I’m quite a neurotic person. I can check repeatedly to make sure I’ve locked my front door or closed my car door. These actions reassure me. Without them, I feel stressed and panicky, and I feel bad until I’ve checked that everything is locked.
This problem affects quite a few people; it’s called OCD.
This system uses sensors placed around your home or in your car to let you know if your electronic devices are turned off, your windows are closed, or your front door is locked.
The app allows you to check remotely that everything is OK (locked), relieving your stress.
In the future, it may also be possible to lock your doors remotely.
